There is no problem with approving Azerbaijans mandate in PACE anymore, Trend reports quoting MP Aydin Mirzazadeh, member of Azeri delegation to PACE, and authority of ruling New Azerbaijan Party.

MP said former PACE co-rapporteur for Azerbaijan Andreas Gross attempted to use some specific clause in PACE charter. В"There is a clause there saying each rapporteur may submit proposal on non-approval of some country at January session of PACE. In this case, such proposal is sent to Monitoring Committee for examination. But Grosss provocation failed as in two days the issue was included in agenda and our mandate was approvedВ".

Mirzazadeh said the session of PACE Permanent Committee held in May in Moscow decided not to return to the mandates anymore.

MP said the spring session of PACE in 2007 will examine Azerbaijans meeting the obligations taken before the organization. He added that this is a usual practice.
