The monitoring of municipal laws held by the relevant commission of Milli Majlis [Azerbaijani Parliament] in cooperation with the specialists of the center of the Ministry of Justice for work with municipalities was completed. The monitoring was aimed at revealing the emptiness in the legislative acts, Trend reports.
It was made clear that many laws on municipalities dont correspond with other legislative acts. And this puts problems in the activity of the municipalities, as well as serious problems in other spheres. Taking into consideration all these problems, the center of the Justice Ministry for work with municipalities has prepared pack of new laws. The pack of laws included the proposals resolving the social, financial, labour and other problems of the members and servants of municipalities. The pack of laws will be discussed in the relevant commissions of the parliament.
It is planned in the permanent commission during the fall session of the parliament to discuss the laws On interaction of municipalities with local executive powers and On social protection of members and servants of municipalities.
