Azeri President to hold several bilateral meetings in Turkey

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will hold several bilateral meetings in Turkey with the heads of governmental delegations that arrived in Turkey to attend a solemn ceremony dedicated to the commissioning of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, Ibrahim Nabioglu, the Azerbaijani General Consul in Istanbul, told Trend.

According to Nabioglu on 1 July at 12.00 [local time] an opening of a monument to the former Azerbaijani President Heydar Ailyev, a park and avenue will be staged in the Sariyar area of Istanbul and Ilham Aliyev and his delegation will participate in the ceremony with Turkish MPs, outstanding public figures and head of Istanbul Administration. The Azerbaijan President will address to the event.

At 14.00 a ceremony of awarding the Azerbaijani leader a prize of Ecovitrin magazine in the category Politician of the Year will take place.

Official meetings of the President will start in the second half of the day. Aliyev plans to hold several bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations of world countries which arrived in Turkey to attend the ceremony dedicated to the commissioning of the BTC.

In the end of the meeting the Azerbaijani president will participate in a solemn reception to be given Chiragan hotel in the honor of commissioning of the pipeline. The President will leave for Adana on 13 July and later to Ceyhan, where he will participate in the solemn vent, the General Consul informed.
