1525 persons have nominated in connection with the municipal elections scheduled for October 6, 2006,Trend reports with reference to the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan (CEC).
1462 out of 1525 persons have received the list of signature. 325 persons have completed the collection of the signatures and submitted them. 161 candidates have been registered.
73 persons are the members of New Azerbaijan Party, 4 Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, 2 Social Welfare Party and 1 other parties.
On October 6, 2006, it will be held repeat, additional and new elections on 604 municipalities of Azerbaijan.
