Azerbaijani Present Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to his French counterpart Jacques Chirac on 13 July in connection with the national holiday of this country Day of Capture of Bastille, Trend reports.
In his letter President Aliyev wished Chirac successes, health, welfare and peace to the people of France. The letter particularly stressed the comprehensive development of the Azerbaijani-French relationships.
The Azerbaijan President also voiced his hope his recent visit to France and meeting with Jacques Chirac will give impetus to the expansion of relationships. We appreciate Frances activities as an OSCE Minsk Group co-chair in the resolution of Azerbaijans painful problem the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. I hope France will continue its efforts directed at the settlement of the conflict, the letter underlined.
