The international public organization Ukraine-Azerbaijan Friendship House is planning issuing Ukrainian president Victor Yutshenko the certificate of honorary member of this organization, Trends special correspondent in Kiev reports quoting Alexander Ivanchuk, chairman of board, Ukraine-Azerbaijan Friendship House.
Ivanchuk said the handing ceremony shall be held during Yutshenkos visit to Azerbaijan.
Ukrainian official also said the said certificate had already been handed to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in late May 2006 in Kiev. That time Aliyev took part in GUAM summit.
In April 2006, presidents of both the countries discussed by phone Yutshenkos visit to Azerbaijan scheduled to this year.
The international public organization Ukraine-Azerbaijan Friendship House was established in March 2006 at the initiative of Trading House Ukraznafta. It aims at developing relations and strengthening friendship between Azeri and Ukrainian nations.
