The executive power of Baku doesnt pay necessary attention to the preparation of the seismological map of Baku. The construction materials are sold without certification. It is a crime, Akhundov told.
The doctor of geological-mineral sciences Adishirin Alakbarov noted that there are differences in the geological structure of Baku, and the oil regions and cement plants have a negative impact on the atmosphere and water. According to Alakbarov, annually 185 substances of different composition are liquidated in Absheron peninsula. Over past 20 years, the groundwater has increased by about 20-22 meters. The specialist noted that while preparing the general plan of Baku, it needs to take into consideration the volcanoes and seismological process.
