On July 14, it was held in the International press-center the presentation ceremony of book Heydar Aliyev way towards independence written by professor Musa Gasimli. The presentation ceremony brought together the representatives of the Presidents office, Azerbaijani parliament, various state bodies, non-governmental organizations and intellectuals, Trend reports.
Academician Seyfaddin Gandilov noted that on July 14, the national leader, outstanding state and political figure Heydar Aliyev came to power in Azerbaijan for the first time. According to him, the development of the country started from July 14, 1969. The book covers the activity of Heydal Aliyev from 1969 to 1987 and reflects historical realities of this period and the role of the popular state figure in the development of the country.
Bahar Muradova, the deputy chairman of Milli Majlis [Azerbaijani Parliament], noted that this book was issued in the ranks of works written about H.Aliyev. Muradova noted that the author describes the problems and hard situation of Azerbaijan in 1960s and speaks about Aliyevs fulfilling the hard duties after coming to the power. The deputy chairman of New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Ali Ahmadov noted that the last decade of Azerbaijan is related exactly with Heydar Aliyev and due to his activity our country rapidly turned into a developing country. Ahmadov pointed out that Aliyevs activity was directed towards not only the social-economic development of Azerbaijan, but also the independence of Azerbaijani people.
The chief of the social-political department of the Presidents office Ali Hasanov stressed that a new era started in Azerbaijan on July 14, 1969. According to Hasanov, the potential which today assists the development of Azerbaijan and settlement of problems was created exactly during Aliyevs period. Within that period, Aliyev did his best for the independence of Azerbaijan. The book deals with the activity of Aliyev from 1969 to 1987 and is based on the historical facts, told Hasanov.
Other participants also spoke about the ideas and contents of the book and Aliyevs heritage. The consultant of the book is Dr. of historical sciences, pr. Ramiz Mehdiyev and scientific editor pr. Ali Hasanov.
