Russia thanks Azerbaijan for timely delivery of military loads from Georgia, said MG Andrey Popov, Commander of Russian Forces in Transcaucasia, speaking to representatives of Azeri Embassy to Georgia.
Trend reports with reference to Azeri Embassy, in the meeting was also partaking Lieutenant-General Valery Yevnevich, second-in-command of Land Forces of Russia for pace-making affairs. Russian military officials expressed their gratitude to Azeri government for its assistance in delivering trains with military issues from Ahalkalaki base.
MG Popov also said he hoped for further transportation of Russian weapon from military bases in Georgia, including 12th in Batumi, via Azerbaijan.
