Chairman of Civil Solidarity Party met with director of NDI on Azerbaijan

On July 18, PM Sabir Rustamkhanli, the chairman of Civil Solidarity Party (CSP), met with the director of National Democracy Institution (NDI) on Azerbaijan Emi Shults, Trend reports with reference to the press-service of CSP.

During the meeting, Rustamkhanli presented extensive information about CSP in Azerbaijan Parliament and discussions were held on political processes in the country and region and the influence of the USA on the policy in region.

Rustamkhanli noted that on the eve of development and globalization of democratic values, it is important to protect the national belongings, national self-consciousness and mental qualities. He noted that Armenians have violated the sovereign right of Azerbaijan and occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijani lands. He pointed out that this fact has a very negative impact on Azerbaijans integration into Europe, conducting of free and fair elections and the development of democracy and economy.

Shults touched on the problems of the development of party, absence of youths in social-political life of the country and other questions. The sides exchanged views on objective and subjective reasons of these problems. Then, discussions were held on raise of war threat in Near East, Iraqi policy of the USA and violation of rights of Azerbaijanis living in Iran.
