Azerbaijanis living in Lebanon and Israel aren't expected to massively flow into Azerbaijan Head of SCWALA

We dont intervene in the conflict between Israel and Lebanon and dont think that the Azerbaijanis living in these countries will massively flow into Azerbaijan, Nazim Ibrahimov, the chairman of the State Committee for Work with Azerbaijanis living Abroad (SCWALA), told Trend.

He noted that very few Azerbaijani live in Lebanon. And a majority of them are women married with Lebanese people. There is not organization of Azerbaijanis living in Lebanon because not numerous Azerbaijanis dont carry out social-political activities in Lebanon, Ibrahimov told.

Touching on Israel he noted that about 100 thousand Jews who went from Azerbaijan live in Israel and they consider themselves Azerbaijani diaspora. The state committee has very good relations with those people. The Society of Israeli-Azerbaijani friendship functions in Haifa city, which brings together numerous Jews from Azerbaijan. The Jews from Azerbaijan have a special role in the development of Israeli-Azerbaijan relations, as well as formation of Azerbaijani diasporas in the world. We consider the Jews from Azerbaijan people loving and duing the best for Azerbaijan, he told.

According to Ibrahimov, the State Committee doesnt and will not intervene in the conflict between Israel and Lebanon. The committee has no information about Azerbaijanis desiring to remove to Azerbaijan. Besides, he pointed out that the Azerbaijanis living in those countries are not expected to massively move to Azerbaijan. Because first of all, they are citizens of Israel. There are servicemen and state figures among them. Only Azerbaijanis who dont have local citizenship and temporarily live in Israel may come to Azerbaijan. I think that Israel and Lebanon will themselves resolve the problem and consider inaccurate other countries intervening in the conflict, Ibrahimov told.
