The Block Azadlig (Freedom) will not carry out observation in upcoming municipal elections, Ali Aliyev, the co-chairman of the block, told Trend.
He noted that this week, it will be held the meeting of the Council of Chairmen which will focus on the social-political situation, prepared pack of reforms, proposals on change to the Constitution, upcoming measures and the question of participating in the municipal elections in the person of observant.
I consider that due to the absence of the block in municipal elections, a decision will be made on not to conduct observation in the elections. I support to appoint a single candidate for the upcoming presidential elections. My initiative was on the focus of attention of press and political parties. I think that it is time to form the position of the block related to the single candidate, he added.
