Peter Semneby, the European Unions special representative on South Caucasus, started talks with the Azerbaijani officials on 20 July to mull further cooperation between Azerbaijan And the EU, the German embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend.
The EU special representative arrived in Baku on 20 July tonight and set up meetings. His visit program includes meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development. During the visit the diplomat will also meet with the political leaders of Azerbaijan. The discussions will focus on cooperation with Azerbaijan under the EUs New Neighborhood.
As a result of the visit the special representative plans to conduct a news conference at ISR Plaza Hotel of Baku on 21 July at 18.30pm, the embassy said.
