Large information-communication technologies companies of the world, especially HP, Д°ntel, Cisco Systems and Microsoft are interested in putting investments in the IT sphere of Azerbaijan, Ali Abbasov, the minister of communication and information technologies of Azerbaijan, told on July 24, Trend reports.
According to Abbasov, this fact was once again confirmed within the visit of Azerbaijani delegation to the USA.
They take a great interest in participating in the projects of creating free economic zone for the development of high technologies. The companies await for the development of legislative base, relevant business situation and guarantees, told ministers.
Abbasov noted that the project includes 5 main components production and export of electronic products in Azerbaijan, creation of transit information territory, creation of technical parks, information structures and establishment human resources.
By the end of 2006, concrete measures will start for creation of a special zone in Azerbaijan.
