Death toll in Lebanon reckoned

During the war in Lebanon, 422 people were killed and 1,833 wounded, Lebanese Ministry of Health reports. Among perished are 27 fighters of Hesbollah, 20 Lebanese soldiers, 8 Canadian citizens, 2 Kuwait dwellers.

Trend reports with reference to ITAR-TASS, this list does not include four UN observers that died when Israeli bomb ripped through their bunker in Southern Lebanon. Erroneous air strike resulted in death of Finnish, Chinese, Canadian and Austrian people.

Israeli Joint Staff estimates Hesbollahs losses in some 180 people. During the conflict 24 militaries and 19 civilians died and nearly 400 wounded, 2 soldiers take as captives, ITAR-TASS reports.
