Azerbaijan National Independence Party (ANIP) appealed to the Ministry of Economic Development and the president of Azerbaijan for providing them with headquarter, Ayaz Rustamov, the chairman of ANIP, told Trend. In July 2001, ANIP had to leave its headquarter located in Azadlig avenue. In connection with, a court process lasted for two years. Within this period, the party was forced to change its headquarter for several times .
Rustamov noted that the lack of headquarter negatively affects their political activity. We require an available premise for our activity. It is true, we were offered several places. However, due to their distance, we didnt agree, Rustamov told, adding that ANIP cooperates with organizations such as International Democracy Union and European Popular Party. We dont have condition to receive the guests coming abroad. Ant the party isnt in possession of opportunity to hire a big premise, Rustamov emphasized.
Besides, he stressed that on July 24, the Economic Development Ministry replied to our appeal. Our appeal was forwarded to the State Committee for Real Estate. And now, we expect the response from the committee, Rustamov said. ANIP appealed to the Economic Development Ministry on July 17, and the president July 19.
