On July 26, the Commission for Fight with Corruption under the Council for Management of State Service held the next meeting under the chairmanship of the head of Azerbaijani Presidents Executive Office Ramiz Mehdiyev. The meeting focused on the elimination of shortages in the privatizing the state property, protection of natural resources, as well as implementation of the recommendations of the Council of Europe regarding fight with corruption, Trend reports quoting Azertaj.
The chairman of the State Committee for Management of State Property Karam Hasanov delivered a report for avoiding the shortages in the sphere of privatizing the state property. He spoke about the measures taken in privatization sphere. Hasabov presented information about the staff reforms held in the State Committee, transparency in the sphere of privatization and strengthening of public control. Besides, during the meeting discussions were held on the facts of misappropriating the state property during the leadership of ex-economic development minister Farhad Aliyev and other facts of corruption.
The minister of ecology and natural resources Huseyin Bagirov delivered a speech in connection with the measures taken for preventing the illegal use of the natural resources. He spoke about the measures carried out after the meeting held under the chairmanship of Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev for upgrade of ecological situation.
Then, discussions were held on the implementation of the recommendations of the council of Europe. Eldar Nuriyev, the chief of the state control department of the Presidents Executive Office, delivered a report on this topic. He noted that the GRECO group of the Council of Europe positively assessed the steps taken for fighting with the corruption. In connection with the implementation of the recommendations, a decision was made to create a working group for concentrating and coordinating the activities of state bodies. Besides, the commission decided to continue the measures for fighting with the corruption in accordance with the recommendations of the Council of Europe.
