The conflict between Israel and Lebanon is the private aspect of the global conflict and over past two years, everything develops between Iran and the USA, politician Azer Mursaliyev, the deputy editor-in-chief of the Russian newspaper Kommersant, told Trend.
He considers that in several meanings, Russia is the participant of the conflict. Because, its policy is contrary to the policy of the USA and Israel. Today, the task of Russia is to stop this conflict. Russia tries to present this conflict as the conflict between Israel and the movement of Hizbullah. But the USA, Great Britain and Israel and other countries demonstrating partnership with Washington insist on the issue that this conflict has emerged under the leadership of Iran and other civilization of the world. Therefore, the methods of resolving the conflict are offered in different variants, Mursaliyev told.
Acording to Mursaliyev, Russia offers to disconnect the Israel and Hizbullah, place peacekeepers these confronting countries and hold negotiations between Israel and Hizbullah. The USA and Israel are trying to disarm Hizbullah, influence Syria and Iran and liquidate the factor of Hizbullah. Principally, these are different things, he told.
Mursaliyev doesnt agree with the issue that the conflict between Lebanon and Israel is a war between Christian and Islam. Because Lebanese Christians also appear as the supporters of Hizbullah. It already excludes the opportunity to speak about religious war. On the other sides, generally there arent Christians in Israel, he told.
Mursaliyev doesnt agree with the opinion of the Iranian president on the issue that the confrontation between Israel and Lebanon may turn into the war of civilizations. Of course, it doesnt deal with the conflict between Israel and Hizbullah. The fact that Iran publicly announced that the volunteers leave for Lebanon to help fraternal people confirms the role of Iran in this conflict. At the moment, it is difficult to speak about the initiator of the conflict. But I think that it didnt happen occasionally and is directly linked with the situation around Iran, Mursaliyev stressed.
Accordiong to the politician, everybody knows that Iran and Syria are close partners. If the reason for this conflict was the facts of kidnapping two Israeli soldiers or bombardment of Israeli territory, the conflict would had been resolved for a long time. Indeed, this conflict takes a greater character and more global character, he added.
