Lithuanian vice-speaker and deputy foreign minister with unofficial visit to Azerbaijan

Lithuanian vice-speaker and deputy foreign minister are with unofficial visit to Azerbaijan, Trend reports quoting Dayanat Abdullayev, chief of Eastern Europe department with State Committee for work with Azerbaijanis living abroad.

He said the delegation of 4 persons arrived in Azerbaijan with unofficial visit. This delegation includes deputy chairman of parliament Gintoras Stepanovichus, deputy foreign minister Darius Jurgelevichus, owner of private bank and head of public organization.

Abdullayev said these persons are experienced in working with national minorities, establishing contacts with diaspora and issuing them grants. The State Committee collaborates with department for national minorities and migration with Lithuanian Cabinet of Ministers and acquires their experience.

They have been informed about Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and defend Azerbaijans position. s Cooperating with them, our Committee is working to boost Azeri diaspora activity in Lithuania, where Stepanovichus and Jurgelevichus are to help bring the truth about Azerbaijan. During our meetings we exchange opinions with them, propagate our work and acquire their experienceВ", official said.

Mr Stepanovichus is also the leader of liberal fraction in the parliament. The guests are returning to Lithuania on July 29.
