At the hearing on the criminal case of former senior officer of the criminal investigation department Haji Mammadov and his gang charged with kidnapping and serial murders lawyer Ogtay Gerekmezli submitted an appeal on interrogating Minister of Interior as a witness. The lawyer substantiated his appeal with claiming that in 1995 Usubov called his client and, having issued him a forged passport, dispatched him to Dagestan. The lawyer said he would like to clarify this detail and call Usubov as a witness.
