In September in New York within the meeting of the UN General Assembly the meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the member-countries of the Organization for Democratic and Economic Development GUAM to be held in New York in September. According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, it was known after the telephone conversation between the Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bedzuashvili and his Ukrainian counterpart Boris Tarasyuk, Trend `s reporter to Tbilisi reports.
It should be mentioned that the Organization for Democratic and Economic Development GUAM was established on the base of GUAM by four countries Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Moldova in Kiev on May 22-23. The main goals of the Organization is to cement democratic values, international and interregional security, intensification of integration to Europe for creating of secure space in the region, etc.
Issues to be discussed by the Council of Ministries of the Organization wer not mentioned during the telephone conversation between the Georgian and Ukrainian Foreign Ministries.
The telephone conversation was initiated by Gela Bedzuashvili. During the conversation he also congratulated his Ukrainian counterpart on his official appointment as the Foreign Minister of Ukraine and the forming of the new Ukrainian Government. The Georgian Foreign Minister once more underlined his adherence to expand relations with Ukraine.
