The first sitting of the autumn`s session of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan`s parliament) is expected to be held on October 2, the press-service of the Azerbaijani Parliament told Trend today.
MP Fazil Aghamali, Chairman of the Paty Ana Vatan (Motherland) said that he had not told about the start of the autumn`s session on October 2, and his participation in it. However, in accordance with the legislation, the session of the Parliament was to begin on September 30. But, since September 30 falls on the day off (Saturday), the session is to begin on October 2, told Mr. Aghamali.

MP Sabir Hajiyev, Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Citizen Unity Party told that he was told that the autumn`s session of the Parliament begins in October 2. I was informed that the Parliament will begin its work on October 2. I even received drafts to be discussed during the session. The documents are available in the Milli Majlis, said Mr. Hajiyev. The MP told that he has no information about the agenda of the first sitting of the autumn`s session of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
The press-service of the Milli Majlis told that the first sitting of the autumn`s session of the Azerbaijani Parliament will be held on October 2. However, it does not inform about the agenda of the first sitting. No information is told about the possible participation of the head of the Azerbaijani State in it. The MPs also told that they have no information in this respect.
In accordance with the alterations moved to the internal regulations of the Azerbaijani Parliament, according to the first paragraph of the first part of Article 88 of the Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic, the higher legislative body of the country is to gather to two regular spring and autumn sessions. The spring`s session is to begin on February 1 and last till May 31. The autumn`s session starts on September 30 and lasts till December 30. If February 1 and September 30 fall on day offs or public holidays, the sessions begin its works in the first week day after the day off or the public holiday.
