A delegation of the Presidium of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN) led by the President of the RAN, Yuriy Osipov, will visit Baku from 5 - 7 October at the initiation of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia told Trend.
The visit will be held within the framework of the Year of Russia in Azerbaijan. On 6 October the delegation will lay a wreath on the ex-President Heydar Aliyev's grave in the Cemetery of Honors and pay tribute at the Cemetery of Martyrs. They will also hold a meeting with the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and sign an inter-Academy Protocol on the equivalent exchange of scientists and appendix to it in the form of thematic plan of co-operation of the scientific institutions of the two Academies. The protocol will be an inseparable part of the Agreement on the co-operation between the Academies of Sciences of the two countries signed in Moscow in 2005 under the Azerbaijani Year of Russia.
On 7 October the Russian delegation will meet with the Country's leadership.
