The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov will attend the next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of CIS member-countries (Commonwealth of Independent States) scheduled for 16 October in Minsk, Trend reports with reference to the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The meeting is expected to focus on nearly 20 issues directed towards strengthening and developing the co-operation of CIS countries in the spheres such as fight with illegal migration, legalization of criminal revenues and financing of terrorism, protection of participants of legal proceedings, as well as problems of interaction in the humanitarian sphere. In addition, the participants of the meeting plan to organize debates on the issues of raising the efficiency and development prospects of CIS.
Mammadyarov is also engaged in preparing the official visit of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Belarus scheduled for 17-18 October.
