Eleonora Huseynova, a permanent representative of Azerbaijan at UNESCO, exclusively informed Trend that a Week of Azerbaijan called Azerbaijan n the Crossroad of Cultures and Civilizations' started in Paris on 16 October within the framework of 60th anniversary of UNESCO.
It was decided to organize 60 thematic weeks as part of jubilee celebrations and the 58th week is dedicated to Azerbaijan. The events are organized within the framework of a thematic week Dialogue among Civilizations'.
The week began with the opening of a photo-exhibition dedicated to Azerbaijan in one of the exhibitions saloons at the UNESCO headquarters. The festive program also includes a gala concert wit the participation art masters of Azerbaijan.
An Azerbaijani delegation led by First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, also UNESCO Good-will Ambassador, the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, will flew to Paris on 17 October to attend the jubilee celebrations.
Gala-concert will be held on 19 October.
