Cancellation of Regular Milli Majlis Sittings Related to On State Budget 2007 Draft being Examined by MPs

Cancellation of the regular sessions of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan`s Parliament) is due the fact that MPs are examining the On State Budget 2007 draft, Aydin Mirzazadeh, Deputy Chairman of the Permament Commission for Defence & Security Issues of the Azerbaijani Parliament, stated in reply to announcements which were made in the media..

Mr. Mirzazadeh pointed out that Statement 2007 was distributed aming at the MPs during the last sitting of the Parliament. It is necessary to examine the document which consists of three large sections. Once it has been examined, the document wil be discussed in the commissions. To do this the MPs require a considerable amount of time, he said.

Notably, having approved Statement 2007, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, sent the document to Parliament. The Income section of the State Budget 2007 is AZN 5,335,700, the Expense section is AZN 5,714,700. The Budget`s Centralized Returns is approved at AZN 5,169,173.9 and Local Returns at AZN 166,526.1. Its Centralized Expenses are expected to be at the level of AZN 4,986,594.8, and Local Expenses at AZN 728,105.2.

The current expenses of the State Budget 2007 are AZN 3,548.3 mln., AZN 2,122.4 mln. for main expenses, AZN 44 mln. for expenses on credits and interest rates. The deficit of the Budget is approved at AZN 379 mln. Its financing will be implemented at the expense of returns from privatization, placement of the state bonds, both in this country and abroad, etc.
