Next Meeting of CIS Foreign Ministers Will Take Place in Astana

The next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS member-states will take place in the capital of Astana in spring of 2007. Such a decision was made at the time of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers in Minsk on November 27, informed the Information Department of the Foreign Ministry of Russian Federation.

The future modernization and reformation of the CIS bodies took a central place on the agenda of the meeting, Trend reports with reference to RIA Novosti. The Foreign Ministers approved the project of the relevant decision of the Council of CIS State Heads, the same source informed.

In addition, during the meeting, the agenda of the November 28 meeting of the Council of the CIS State Heads was discussed.
