Each Party Obstinately Supports its Position Head of Umid Party

The Leader of Azerbaijan Liberal Party, Co-founder of Azadlig Block, Lala Shovket, suggests to temporarily stop the activities of the opposition under the sign of protest. The Chairman of Umid Party, Igbal Agazade, informed Trend.

He said that the proposal of Lala Shovket was discussed at the meeting of the Co-ordination Council for Freedom of Speech and Press. Lala Shovkat suggests to temporarily stop the activities of the opposition. Its objective is to inform the local and international community about the situation in the country and that the opposition created a new union. I expressed the position of Umid Party towards this issue. But during the discussions we did not come to such a conclusion, Agazade said.

Touching on the conclusion, he said that each party supports its position and therefore, there was not a consensus decision.

The Head of the Musavat Party, Isa Gambar said that the problem with the free media and press remains unsettled. In relation with this, the leaders of the opposition decided that the Co-ordination Council should continue its activities to protect the freedom of speech and press. The fight of opposition will continue, he said.
