The Azerbaijani embassy in Belgium informed that a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OSCE member-states began in Brussels, Trend reports.
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov represents Azerbaijan in the gathering which is to end on December 5. During his stay in Brussels he is scheduled to hold meetings with several Ministers, including next round of consultations with his Armenian counterpart Vardan Oskanian, as well as OSCE Minsk Group.
Spain will undertake chairmanships at the OSCE Council of foreign Ministers. In 2006 the organization was headed by Belgium Foreign Minister, Karel De Gucht.
Miguel Angel Moratinos, the Spanish Foreign Minister, stated that priority in the organization activities will be given to fight terror, termination of lands and use of water resources as a serious issue of security, assistance in diversification and participation in the pluralist societies.
At the end of meeting the heads of the delegations will issue a statement and adopt several documents.
