Meetings Will be Held in Murmansk to Study and Resolve Problems of Azerbaijanis  Azeri Consul General

According to the order of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the Delegation headed by the Azerbaijani Consul General to Saint-Petersburg, Gudsi Osmanov, left for Murmansk (Russia), Trend reports with reference to the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Saint-Petersburg.

The delegation included the Deputy Executive Director of the Russian Congress of the Azerbaijanis, Gunduz Hamzayev, Executive Director of the National-Cultural Autonomy of the Azerbaijanis residing in Saint-Petersburg, Akif Gasimov, and Russian correspondent of the Lider TV, Anar Hasanov. During the visit, the representatives of the Azerbaijani diasporas from various cities of the province will also visit Murmansk.

Osmanov stressed that over the recent period, the Russian Government has strengthened its fight against illegal migrants residing in the territory of Russia. Therefore, a problem is created of expelling the Azerbaijanis citizens residing and working in the territory of the Russian Federation. The Azerbaijanis citizens also live illegally in the Murmansk province. During the visit, the delegation will become familiarized with the standard of life and will discuss matters such as protection of their rights and status, etc. The delegation will hold a meeting to study and resolve the problems of the Azerbaijanis residing in Murmansk and working in various specialties, Consul General said.

Within the visit, it is planned to meet with the Governor of the Murmansk province, Chairman of the Parliament, Mayor of Murmansk, Head of the Federal Migration Service, heads of the law-enforcement bodies and the representatives of the Azerbaijani diasporas. In addition, debates will be organized on the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Murmansk, activities and social condition of the Azerbaijani diasporas in Murmansk and other important issues.
