On 6 December, the Commander of the Internal Troops of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan, Zakir Hasanov, received the delegation headed by the Commander of the Turkish Gendarmerie, Ishig Koshaner, who is on a visit to Baku, Trend reports.
Hasanov highly assessed the relations between the Internal Troops of Azerbaijan and Gendarmerie of Turkey. He stated that the Gendarmerie has played a significant role of the formation of the Internal Troops. Presently the Internal Troops has its own place in the ranks of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Hasanov said. In his turn, Ishig Koshaner stressed that they are interested in strengthening the relations between the two parties and expressed his gratitude to Hasanov for the warm reception received. The meeting focused mainly on the bilateral relations.
