The third final echelon with the Russian military arms will be sent from Georgia to Russia via the territory of Azerbaijan, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijan Embassy in Georgia.
The echelon will comprise of 32 carriages property of Russian Troops in Caucasus (GRTC), which is withdrawn from Georgia. 18 carriages will comprise of artillery tractors, 7 artillery installations MT12 and 6 millimeter guns D42. 8 carriages will comprise of missile and artillery arms.
According to the agreement between Azerbaijan and Russia, three additional echelons with the property and military equipment of the GRTC will be transported to Russia via Azerbaijan. The first echelon via Azerbaijan was sent on November 23, and the second on November 30. In addition, the final part of the GRTC equipment will be sent to Armenia on December 14.
According to the agreement that was reached between Georgia and Russia, the military base in Akhalkalaki should be closed till October 1, 2007, and in Batumi till October 1, 2008.
