Azeri Communications Minister Conferred Diploma for His Special Contribution to Development of Co-operation in CIS Communications

The 36th meeting of the Council of Heads of the Communications Administrations of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications (CA RCC) and 10th meeting of the Co-ordination Council of the State Heads of CIS Countries for Information completed in Moscow. The meeting was attended by the Azerbaijan Minister of Communications and Information Technologies, Ali Abbasov.

Abbasov informed Trend Special Correspondent in Moscow that the meeting of the Heads of the Communications Administrations focused on the actual questions of mutual interest.

According to him, this year CA RCC marks its 15th jubilee. This organization was created after the collapse of the Soviet Union to prevent the communications breaks. The meeting covered the results of many years activities of the organization and prospects of the co-operation with regards to the policy of developing the communications and applying advanced technologies. The strategic directions of the RCC activities were confirmed to strengthen and expand the co-operation to ensure the integration to the world information space. It is very important because the organization is expanding and strengthening. In addition, the Council confirmed the list of the scientific-research works in the sphere of communications and information, Abbasov said.

During the jubilee of CA RCC, Ali Abbasov was conferred diploma for his special contribution to the development of the co-operation. Five more members of the Azerbaijani delegation were conferred various diplomas of CA RCC.
