Turkish Ambassador Says His Country Should Treat Issue of So-Called Armenian Genocide More Seriously

Armenian lobby periodically launch attacks and only after that Turkey resist them in the issue of the so-called Armenian Genocide. This aspect is Turkey's most significant shortcoming in its relations with Armenia, Turan Moranli, Turkey's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, has said today, Trend reports.

The Turkish psychology is not intended for the permanent struggle against Armenian lobby. Turkey is engaged in its own problems, but, the Country ought to counteract the lobby on a permanent basis, thinks the Turkish diplomat.

According to Mr. Moranli, Armenians turned this issue to their ideology, which is grounded in the falsification of the whole history. After the issue on the so-called Armenian Genocide was put forward for consideration in the French Parliament, Turkey gathered all its forces and possibilities to counteract it. But later this issue calmed down. Turkey is engaged in the issue on its integration to EU. And I think Turkey should treat the issue connected with the so-called Genocide more seriously, said the Turkish diplomat.
