A law On medicines was adopted at the meeting of the Azerbaijan Parliament on December 22. The Deputy Chairman of the Permanent Parliamentary Commission for Social Policy, Musa Guliyev, provided information on the law, Trend reports. He said that during the bill discussion, all proposals of the Parliament Members and medical specialists were taken into consideration. According to the amendments, the medicine-production enterprises will be registered by the bodies of the executive power. The state registry of the medicines will be established. The instructions for the medicines should be written in Azeri language. In addition, the juridical address of the producers should be reflected, Guliyev said.
Serious steps will be taken against persons producing false medicines. The rate of punishment, size of fine and period of imprisonment for these persons will be defined after the law comes into force, he said.
The bill was adopted after the speeches of ten MP's.
