Azer Husseyn, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Japan, has delivered a congratulatory speech from the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev addressed to His Imperial Majesty the Emperor Akihito on the occasion of his birthday, a source in the Azerbaijan Foreign Office informed Trend today.
The Head of the Azerbaijani Diplomatic Mission to Japan took part in an official reception arranged in the Emperor's Palace. During the meeting, the Japanese Emperor remembered the official visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Japan in March 2006, and expressed a confidence that the visit would further the development of co-operation between the two countries.
