Bernard Snoy, Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, informed Trendthat a report on the OSCE-led mission to fire-affected territories was transmitted on 28 November 2006 to Karel De Gucht, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium and OSCE Chairman-in-Office.
Mr. Snoy, who headed the monitoring mission on 29 November 2006, stated that it was transmitted by Ambassador Bertrand de Crombrugghe, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Belgium to the OSCE and Chairman of the OSCE Permanent Council, to all the Heads of Missions to the OSCE.
Minister De Gucht transmitted the report to Kofi Annan, U.N. Secretary General on 19 December 2006, with a letter requesting the Secretary-General to forward it to the members of the UN General Assembly.
