The divisional election commissions of Azerbaijan commenced specifying the initial election lists, Trend reports with reference to the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan (CEC).
According to the requirements of the Election Code, new lists of people who have the right to vote should be drawn up each year. It should begin in the first month of the year вЂ" on January 5. But since 5 January was holiday in Azerbaijan, the process commenced on January 9. They are specified on the base of the lists provided by the municipalities and local executive bodies.
The divisional election commissions should complete the process till 5 February and submit the lists to the district election commissions. The district election commissions will begin specifying the lists on 5 February. The district election commissions should submit the lists to the CEC no later than 5 April. The CEC should inspect and return the lists till the end of May. All lists are prepared via the State automotive information system.
