By the end of February 2007, Azerbaijan will provide a written reply to a report developed by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) rapporteurs on Azerbaijan, Tony Lloyd and Andreas Herkel. MP Samad Seyidov, the Head of Azerbaijani Delegation to PACE and the Chairman of the International Relations and Inter-parliamentary Relationships of Milli Majlis [Azerbaijan Parliament], exclusively informed Trend that the initial variant of the document has been submitted to Azerbaijan.
The PACE Monitoring Committee will be held during the Winter session to discuss the document developed by co-rapporteurs. The Azerbaijani delegates will produce documents on different items of the report of which the initial responses are prepared, he said.
Discussions held at the Monitoring Committee will be objective and constructive.
The PACE winter session will be held in Strasbourg on January 22-26, 2007. Azerbaijani delegation will leave for Strasbourg on 20 January.
