No Emergency Case with Azerbaijanis Fixed in Russia

Polad Bulbuloglu, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia, has exclusively informed Trend that the Azerbaijani Embassy in Moscow has not made any emergency plans for Azerbaijanis in connection with the recent application of new rules regulating its migration flow into Russia.

He stated that no-one has appealed to the Embassy. All the rules have been made public and every resident of Russia is aware of them. The Ambassador felt it was too premature to make any conclusions as only 2 days have passed since the new rules came into effect. The situation will become clear in approximately 15 days.

Mr. Bulbuloglu stressed that Azerbaijani citizens residing in Russia have not appealed to the Consulate to be repatriated to their motherland. The Consulate continues to operate as normal, receiving only 100-120 appeals per day, he emphasized.
