On January 19, during the meeting of the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA), the presentation of the activities of Millikart LLC was held, Trend reports. The Executive Director of the Processing Center, Jalal Orujov, said during the presentation that last year the certification of Millikart in international payment system Visa and MasterCard got completed. It allowed the bank to pass the certification in the international payment systems. Last year Azerdemiryolbank completed certification in Visa and MasterCardand and Zaminbank and Azerbaijan Micro-Finance Bank in Visa. According to Orujov, the key achievement of last year is successful migration of UniBank from the Processing Center of Azericard to Millikart. Presently the international cards Visa, issued by the bank, serve via Millikart. Presently Millikart serves 11 banks. As per the end of 2006, the number of cards which serve in the Center reached 25,000, ATM вЂ" 100, and POS terminals вЂ" 80. In addition, over the reported period, Millikart app
lied the services such as payment of finances by subscribers of Azercell and SMS banking.
The Head of the Centre marked the subscription without any extra payment among the key advantageous of Millikart. It is for the first time in the country when irrespectively of the sum for each operation, the subscriber is to pay a fixed tariff. The personalization of the most expensive chip card is $2,5-3. The tariff for drawing out by means of ATM and POS-terminals is 0,05 AZN per each transaction.
Millikrat was established two years ago, and the Processing Centre is equipped with up-to-date technologies that will create acceptable condition to introduce new products without any extra investments. The centre is equipped with up-to-date software that allows turning on all ATM and POS-terminals. Five types of ATM have been turned on to the centre; however their list is expected to be extended in the future. A special reserve centre has been established to ensure the work of Millikart in Sumgayit City.
The National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) signed a constituent agreement on passing the centre to the management with 18 banks. Millikart was established on 14 June, 2006. The founders of the centre are Atabank, AzerDamirYolBank, AzerTurkBank, Bank of Baku, CIBank, DebutBank, AmrahBank, KhlgBank, KredoBank, Microfinancing Bank of Azerbaijan, ParaBank, RabitaBank, RespublikaBank, Bank Standard, TekhnikaBank, TuranBank, UniBank and ZaminBank.
