Khanlar Veliyev, the Azerbaijan Military Prosecutor, said in talks with journalists on 20 January 2007 that in 2006 the number of death cases in the Azerbaijan Arm Forces remain unchanged as compared to previous years.
The Military Prosecutor said that the acts contradicting the Charter and crimes also fell in number. The Military Prosecutor takes prophylactic measures to prevent such cases, he said.
The Prosecutor also said that the crimes against the military service and other non-military crimes decreased by 15-17% as compared to other crimes.
