Negotiations Process on Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Continues Constructively and Attentively French Co-chair

The negotiations process on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is continuing constructively and attentively. We are glad that both sides make very constructive contributions to our efforts, the French Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Bernar Face, briefed the media on January 24 in the airport while leaving Baku.

He said that over the recent one and a half year, he has, together with his colleagues, been working on various proposals within the peaceful negotiations. Our work builds the wall of peace, which is a very long process. We are continuing building the peace wall, Face said.

Answering the question about the work on the project of the peaceful agreement, he replied that all these depend on the continuation and strengthening of the reached progresses. We are not the ones who will sign the peaceful agreement. Everything depends on the political will of our heads. We try to help them, but the final decision should be made by them, Face said.

American Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Matthew Bryza, added that signing the peaceful agreement in 2007 is possible, but several problems should be resolved.
