I do not believe that in the near future the Senate of France may consider the draft law of penalizing the denial of so-called Armenian genocide, which has been offered by the National Assembly of France, said Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan, Bernard dyu Shafo, on January 25th at press conference.
According to him, at present the question has not been included in the agenda of the Senate. Taking into consideration that the pre-election period has begun, it would be inaccurate to await the discussion and adoption of this draft law. In addition, the Ambassador stressed that as time goes by; the chances of adopting this draft law are decreasing.
