President of Azerbaijan Made a Speech at World Economic Forum in Davos

On January 25, The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, made a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Trend reports. The State Head said that Azerbaijan realizes global energy projects that are of a great significance for the world. He said that the role of Azerbaijan in ensuring the energy security is increasing day-by-day. In addition, the President spoke about the obtained successes and economical potential of the country.

The Forum brings together more than 2,000 leaders of business, political, academic and media circles and representatives of the civil society, including representatives of Palestinian Autonomy, Iraq, Jordan, USA, Ireland, India, Monaco, Oman, Japan, Brazil, Saudi Arabia,. Malaysia, Singapore, Great Britain, China, France, Mexico, Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, Nigeria, Austria, Flipping, Venezuela, United Arab Emirates, Hungary, Belgium, Egypt, Iran, Korea, Bahrain, Manila, Israel, Republic of South Africa, Tatarstan, Vietnam, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Qatar and Australia.

In addition, the forum will be attended by the representatives of the European Commission, Economical Development and Co-operation Organization, Organization of the Islamic Conference, NATO, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, UNO and others. Palestinian Autonomy, Mexico, Sweden, Iran, Tanzania, Brazil, Flipping, Republic of South Africa and Latvia are also expected to be represented at the Forum at the level of Presidents.

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, is expected to meet with the President of Switzerland, Micheline Calmy Rey, within the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum which takes place on January 24-28 in Switzerland.
