The Chairman of the Press-Council of Azerbaijan, Aflatun Amashov, exclusively informed Trend that the Press Council has appealed to the Interior Ministry in connection with the inspections in 33 newspapers accused of the racket.
He said that the Head Education Department of Baku sent a letter to the Press Council, which reflects a complaint that several sources of media require bribery, etc. from the school directors. The Press Council was presented with the list of 33 newspapers. Amashov said that it was decided to send an appeal to the Interior Ministry for making the situation clear and taking necessary measures. Amashov said that these newspapers are published once a week or month.
