On 27 January 2007 the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan held a collective meeting dedicated to the results of the works done in 2006 to combat criminality and ensure public security. During the meeting, the Interior Minister of Azerbaijan, Ramil Usubov, assessed 2006 as important period from the point of view of social-political events, Trend reports.
Usubov delivered a report regarding taken measures and shortfalls in the service activities. He stressed that the interior bodies of the Republic, as it was in previous years, achieved high results in fighting with criminality and defending the public order.
The Minister said hat till and after the parliamentary election, the personnel of the Interior Ministry fulfilled their duties in a worthy manner and actively participated in this important public event.
