Azeri First Lady Awarded by World Health Organization

The Health Minister of Azerbaijan, Oktay Shiraliyev, who participates at the 120th session of the Executive Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO), which takes place in Geneva, said that according to the decision of the session, the First Lady of Azerbaijan, Deputy of the Azerbaijan Parliament, Good-Will Ambassador of UNESCO and Д°SESCO, Mehriban Aliyeva, has been awarded with the WHO Award For exclusive services in protecting and strengthening the health of mothers, children and families.

The award will be presented to Mehriban Aliyeva in May 2007 in Geneva at the World Health Assembly, which is expected to bring together 193 member-countries. The number of awarded people also include Bill Gaits, Chose Antonio Sokrates, Maestro Gilermina Natera Rey, Tan Seyn and Nabil Kronfol.
