The Azerbaijan Minister of Youth and Sport, Azad Rahimov, said at the meeting of the Public Council for Work with Youth under the Collegium of the Ministry, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of establishing February 2 as Youth Day that the implementation of the State Programs on Youth Policy will be accelerated in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
The Minister said that the Ministry needs to get familiarized with the problems of youths, hear the problems from youths themselves and discuss the ways of resolving them. According to the Minister, 170 youth and children organizations have entered into state registration in Azerbaijan and 120 out of them are involved in the youth policy.
The legislative base in this sphere is in need of improvement, the Minister said. He called on the leaders of the youth organizations to prepare and present their proposals to the Council. During the meeting, the heads of various youth organizations initiated to raise the patriotism level of the young people, and made proposals on resolving the education problems.
