The representative of Azerbaijan to the European Court on Human Rights, Chingiz Askerov, exclusively informed Trend that the resolution of the European Court on Human Rights regarding the claim of the citizens of Azerbaijan, Nabat Ramazanova, Emin Zeynalov, Zarifa Ganbarova and Eldar Alizade, who represent the NGO Protection of Rights of Homeless and Vulnerable Inhabitants of Baku, is not objective. He said that the conclusions are made on the base of the inaccurate interpretation of the Azerbaijan legislation. Askerov said that on February 1, 2007 the European Court on Human Rights announced its resolution, according to which the article 11 (freedom of assembly and association) of the European Convention on Human Rights has been violated in the case of the above-mentioned persons. The European Court passed a resolution on paying в'¬4 000 to claimers for compensating the inflicted damage and в'¬2 000 for covering court expenses.
